It is!! Another little creature has arrived! And it's so fluffy too! Though that isn't gonna do much in this hot weather!

That's right guys, Rain Wool is back in business!! Now that I'm getting back into the swing of needle-felting and FINALLY have lots more core wool to make all sorts of projects with, it's only right that I keep on going with this project, especially since, after Saint, I'm only one away from being done with the slugcats! I apologize for waiting so long to continue on with this project, but going forward I hope to start felting more of these guys more frequently.

In the meantime, however, I'm happy to finally share this fluffy little green bean!

It probably isn't very visible in these images, but on the cheeks, arms, and tail I intentionally left the wool less felted in for a softer, fluffier appearance. Since I have barely any of the straight wool roving felters normally use for long hair, this is my general go-to method for fluffy creatures.

I still think he looks adorable though, and I'm so excited to be close to finishing the slugcats!

i checked the JP description of Malenia set & in the “[Miquella] possesses the wisdom, the allure, of a God” line, the word they use for “allure” is 「誘惑」

It can also be translated as “seduction”.

It’s the same word used in the DLC trailer for “seduction and betrayal” part.

Tbh, I have no crazy revelation on this. I were just thinking “why Malenia did not factor in “kindness” as a quality for a God to have when she described Miquella— oh shit which word did they use for “allure”.”

For me at least, “seduction and betrayal” has always been a general theme of what Godhood will entail.

The Fingers promised Marika power to avenge her kins & betrayed her by locking her into a cage of divinity (that brought her and her future family nothing but misery in the end), Marika accepted to be a vessel but at the same time tasked Hewg to make a weapon to slay a God (so she was always going to rebel against them), Radagon charmed Rennala then left her a husk of her former self, Miquella was seduced by the naive belief that Godhood would be the answer to all the problems but got betrayed by that ideal as it made him lose himself, Miquella charmed others and some of them felt betrayed when the charm was broken.

It’s a theme.

So this is not exactly news to me, but I think it’d be interesting to point that out.

(Like, if I’m to list out more: Ranni linked up with the Black Knives but later imprisoned Alecto when the deed is done, if you attack Fia before getting the mending rune, Godwyn’s body would attack you to protect her, but once the rune is finished (aka Godwyn achieved second life as Lord of Death), she could be murdered by D’s brother… & Fia was obviously infatuated with Godwyn.

If you write “seduction & betrayal” and draw a bunch of arrows from it… it’s pretty much in every demigod subplots. It depends on how one interpret certain events, yeah, but still.

Also: Rennala bewitching the Academy making them believe the Moon was equal to the Stars, the Fell God letting the Fire Giants borrow their power but curse them to tend to the flame for eternity, Bayle vs Placidussax, like… those whole other cans of lore worm?? Need I say more??)

Noticed that in the Sunken Pier, on the train line, there is a train car in the middle of transporting a component that is most commonly seen as part of an Iterator's infrastructure.

Here's the one in transit

And here's some of the ones that are integrated into Iterator infrastructure. Particularly, these components seem to be responsible for their "breathing", as I assume the vapor they produce at the end of a cycle is what eventually accumulates into the immense rainclouds that are found underneath each and every Can. This could imply one of two things.

1) This is an outgoing train, which means this component was being sent off to an iterator that was still under construction or undergoing maintenance. (Perhaps Unparallelled Innocence? They were still unfinished by the time Benefactors were producing Memory Crypts on LTTM/FP facility grounds.)

2) This is an incoming train, and this component is meant for either refurbishment or repair of either Looks To The Moon or Five Pebbles (the former seems far more likely to me.)

Either way, an interesting tidbit. Goes to show that the Benefactors never really cared what happened to their creations after they're all gone - they never even bothered finalizing any unfinished repairwork before ditching them. The moment Ascension was in reach they abandoned everything else.

Ascension into Me II

A true engagement into self is a tough thing to really get around to doing. I hardly would say I've fully enveloped into being myself because being myself is off putting to most. Sadly, this is exactly why I have trouble being myself. I'd much rather stay in the background, knowing full well that it'll never be like that. I'm the Waldo in your picture. I'm always the one you can point out.

Never am I apart of a crowd but always the one to stand out. I'm the wolf trying to hide in sheepskin and failing at it miserably. I am the weird girl you fantasize about. I'm the fetish you try to hide. I don't need to try and be off-putting, I just am.

You try to impress me, and it fails. I give you a headache with my humor, but you can't get away. You wanna be inside my flesh and see how exactly I work. Every organ you take apart and try to figure out how I do this so easily. But it's so easy, I am just me.

Thinking about Guard!Hua Cheng. (In the AU I'm working on, he joins the guards under the name of Wu Ming, but I'll use HC for this post)

HC joins the guard to be close to XL, but because XL already has an official bodyguard, he doesn't always get lucky enough to guard him directly.

He HATES guarding pretty much anyone but XL. But for pretty obvious reasons, guarding QR is the absolute bane of his existence.

He also hates guarding the King. He has no respect for him. Whatsoever. Honestly all he had to do was see XL argue with him ONCE and he could only be bothered so do his job well enough to not get fired.

The Queen is a different matter. He loves the Queen. She's kind to him, and will talk to him, even telling him stories about XL when he was younger. HC suspects that she might be aware of his feelings for XL, and supports him in this. (She's more cautious than HC thinks, due to what happened with her sister, but after seeing him with XL the Queen can't help but think their relationship is sweet)
